
Research Engagement & Compliance Student Assistant
Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This work study position is fully remote, student must have access to own computer and internet. Student must be able to provide proof of accepted work study award.
This position is expected to start in September 2025 and must be available to work through the summer.
The Student Assistant will be a member of the Research Engagement & Compliance (REC) team, which promotes research compliance through outreach and creative problem-solving. This position will assist with committee support, data entry and analysis, clerical tasks, and other special projects as assigned. This position will develop an understanding of research administration and federal and state compliance policies, regulations, and procedures as well as develop critical analytical skills in a collaborative office environment.
Required skills:
- Detailed oriented and have good communication, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently on assignments without direct supervision and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and handle confidential matters in a professional manner.
- Ability to communicate and interact positively and effectively with staff.
- Ability to make sound judgement, analyze information, and input data with high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to quickly learn new computer software, tools and digital platforms as needed
- Familiar with, but not limited to, word processing and computer data entry.
- Possess experience and working knowledge with MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
