Job Description
Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the performance of medically indicated x-ray exams that are done under the order of a qualified provider. Use safe and effective radiation protection and techniques to obtain a diagnostic radiograph.
Essential Functions
- Provide diagnostic radiographs to ordering physicians
- Be knowledgeable about safe and effective application of radiation
- Provide staff support to ordering physicians/staff to aid and assist in the ordering exam process
- Process image and paperwork to radiologist
- Be able to relay critical findings to the ordering physician or covering physician in a timely manner
- Work independently
- Help maintain equipment and manuals
- Help maintain radiation film badge
- Maintain current license

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Must be a graduate of an AMA approved training program
- Have or be registry eligible through the ARRT
- Have or obtain a Wyoming State license
- Applicant shall be able to assist patients onto and off x-ray tables and be able to move patients into the desired position for the image
- They should be able to work unaided in almost any circumstance and be able to process and QC images for interpretation
- Provide reports to ordering Physicians as needed
- Be able to understand computer operations to input charges, reports and to push images when needed to referring physicians

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive; handle paperwork; operate computer equipment; and communicate effectively both in writing and orally with patients, staff and the public
- Work is performed in an outpatient medical clinic radiology department
- On occasion some travel may be required to other sites to deliver images on CD in case of equipment failure, or to other sites under the jurisdiction of CHCCW
