Job Summary: Reporting to the Human Resources (HR) Manager, the HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Office of Human Resources. Responsibilities include employee onboarding, benefits administration, employee status changes, and recruitment support. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure HR deliverables are met efficiently.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Employee Onboarding & Administration

  • Support onboarding and offboarding, including background screenings, new hire paperwork, and exit procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and update HR systems.
  • Assist with benefits administration (enrollments, changes, terminations) and employee relations inquiries.
  • Ensure data integrity, conduct HR audits, and generate reports.
  • Manage the HR inbox and provide policy guidance.
  • Maintain and update policies, procedures, and labor law postings on the College intranet.
  • Assist with payroll processing and compliance.

Recruitment & Training

  • Coordinate training and development programs, tracking completion.
  • Support HR initiatives, including performance evaluations, engagement, and recognition programs.
  • Assist with HR projects and policy reviews as directed by the HR Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Preferred HR experience in coordination, administration, and processing.
  • Preferred experience in HR software/HRIS and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in high-demand periods.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.

Additional Information:
This part-time position (21 hours per week) requires on-site presence at the Brooklyn campus at least three days per week. It includes a comprehensive benefits package.
