Marketing and Communications Intern
Summary: This role will support the STS Marketing & Communications staff with various responsibilities that support the association’s vision and provide an opportunity to learn more about the tourism industry from a regional perspective.
Duties & Responsibilities: Work with Marketing & Communications to develop and schedule media content; assist in the development of monthly member newsletters and advocacy updates; distribute member communication; assist in the organization of STS recognition program submissions (i.e. Shining Example, Signature Events of the Southeast, and 40 for the Future); attend conference calls with the STS team as needed. Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements: Hospitality and Tourism major/minor preferred. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with social media platforms, particularly Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram. Experience with Sprout Social is a plus. Must be English proficient. Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License. Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. Must have accurate typing and data entry skills. Creativity, and willingness to share new ideas, is always welcome.
