Summer Mathematics Institute Counselor

We have 2-3 counselor positions available for the Oakland University Summer Mathematics Institute (OUSMI). More information about this institute can be found at https://www.oakland.edu/math/outreach/ousmi/. Job duties involve grading assignments and supervising various activities within the institute. We are offering APM 3610 and APM 4663. The institute runs from July 7 to August 15, 2025 but the position will start the week of June 30. The week of June 30 will only requires about 5 hours but each subsequent week requires approximately 35-40 hours, and the pay rate is $21 per hour. Ideal candidates should hold an undergraduate degree in mathematics and have completed graduate courses. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in math camps for gifted students, especially those with experience in OUSMI, as well as current Oakland University students.
