Physician, Vascular Surgeon

Physician, Vascular Surgeon, Carolinas Physicians Network, Inc. d/b/a Atrium Health Medical Group, Shelby, NC and Charlotte, NC. Work at Vascular Outpatient Clinic. Care for inpatient and ambulatory patients. Perform medical history, physical examinations, routine assessments and determine treatment plan for patients. Read and interpret advanced imaging such as vascular ultrasounds. Perform vascular surgery in cardiac catheterization lab or operating room. Document all patient encounters, record observations, interventions, and actions in a timely and medically appropriate manner on the patient’s medical record. Act as a patient and family advocate for the population served. Participate in continuous quality improvement priorities, service delivery processes and service excellence initiatives. Adhere to access and productivity policies and protocols to ensure that patients’ access to convenient care is optimized. Adhere to standards and care protocols to deliver appropriate, innovative and cost-effective management in-person and virtually. Model Atrium Health Core Values and adhere to Medical Group Minimum Work Standards. Supervise 1 Nurse Practitioner. Work M – F, 7a – 5:30p (hours may vary) and rotating weekend on-call schedule. Requires a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited school of Medicine or foreign equivalent. Requires an unrestricted license to practice medicine in state of North Carolina (Medical Board License) and DEA license. Must have completed a General Surgery Residency and a Clinical Vascular Surgery Fellowship. Must be Board Certified in Vascular Surgery, or eligible for certification at time of hire and maintain during full term of employment. Requires nominal US travel for meetings.
