HR Analyst Intern

Roush is seeking an enthusiastic student for a HR Analyst Intern position for the summer of 2025. The HR Analyst Intern will support the HR Team by mapping current data flows and identifying gaps and inefficiencies. This role will assist with researching and recommending integration tools like APIs and Power Automate to enhance data connectivity and accuracy. The HR Analyst Intern will assist in automating repetitive HR tasks and prototyping solutions such as dashboards and workflows to improve data usability. This position is located in Livonia, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR Analyst with documenting the current flow of HR data across platforms and identify gaps, redundancies, or inconsistencies
  • Research and recommend integration solutions, such as AI flows in SAP SuccessFactors, Power Automate, or middleware, to improve data connectivity and accuracy
  • Evaluate existing HR processes to identify repetitive tasks that could be automated to enhance efficiency
  • Support HR Analyst with creating a prototype for data optimization, such as a PowerApps dashboard or automated workflow, to improve HR data accessibility and usability
  • Identify and recommend ways to improve data quality, reduce errors, and streamline data entry processes
  • Maintain clear documentation of findings, integration strategies, and proposed optimizations for future reference
  • Assist in testing and validating system improvements to ensure seamless implementation and user adoption

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, HR Management, or Business Analytics
  • Must be able to work approximately 40 hours per week
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
  • Experience creating presentations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage various ongoing projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The willingness to work collaboratively

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of data integration tools (e.g., APIs, Power Automate, middleware solutions) is beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the curiosity and ability to assess data structures and recommend improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) for documentation and collaboration
  • Knowledge of SAP, PowerApps and Peoplesoft preferred
