Kitchen Inventory Coordinator
Location: Camp Kippewa, Monmouth, Maine

Camp Kippewa is a traditional overnight summer camp for girls, located on the beautiful shores of Lake Cobbosseecontee in Maine. We are seeking a Kitchen Inventory Coordinator to join our kitchen team for the summer season.

Job Summary:
The Kitchen Inventory Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining experience. This position supports the Head Chef and kitchen team by managing inventory, dry-goods cleanliness, and overseeing the front-of-house flow. You’ll be an essential part of the team that keeps our campers and staff well-fed, safe, and happy.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor and maintain kitchen inventory levels; track stock and alert the Head Chef of upcoming needs; including all food and paper supplies. 
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory storage areas
  • Oversee the front of the house and ensure it is fully stocked, clean, and visually appealing at every meal
  • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure all food systems run smoothly
  • Monitor food and supply levels during service and communicate needs proactively
  • Support front-of-house operations including dining room setup, serving line flow, and meal transitions
  • Support all aspects of summer camp food service operation, including dishwashing, food delivery, set-up and clean-up of each meal.   
  • Help uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in both kitchen and dining areas

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service or inventory management helpful 
  • Willingness to learn, work hard, and support others in a team environment. 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Enthusiastic about camp life and ready to contribute to a positive, supportive environment
