Leader in Training (LIT) Program
Location: Multiple Locations in NC, SC, & TN | Full-Time | One-Year Rotational Program

The Budd Group’s Leader in Training (LIT) Program is a paid, 12-month rotational program designed for recent college graduates ready to step into leadership roles. You'll gain hands-on exposure to all major areas of our business — including Operations, Janitorial, Landscaping, Specialty Services, HR, and Sales — while working alongside seasoned professionals and company leadership. This is more than a job — it’s a high-impact leadership launchpad.

Key Responsibilities & Development Areas
During your rotations, you'll:

  • Shadow and support Operations Managers with scheduling, QA inspections, and team supervision
  • Lead site walkthroughs and manage project follow-through with frontline staff and subcontractors
  • Participate in strategic sales initiatives, including lead generation, cold calling, client proposals, and Salesforce tracking
  • Gain exposure to HR functions like hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement
  • Work hands-on in janitorial, landscaping, and specialty services to understand daily field operations
  • Learn budgeting, invoicing, inventory, and margin management through real-time systems
  • Present a capstone project focused on a strategic improvement area
  • Receive one-on-one mentorship and coaching throughout each rotation

Program Highlights

  • Rotational Structure: You’ll rotate through multiple departments including Janitorial, Specialty Services, Landscaping, and Shared Services, with targeted focus areas in each
  • Mentorship: Ongoing support from senior leaders, account managers, and peers
  • Project Work: Final capstone presentation + weekly tracked learning objectives
  • Flexible Experience: Gain cross-functional experience while contributing to real-world results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree earned within the last 12 months
  • Willing to commit to a full-time, 12-month program (June–May)
  • Comfortable working in both office and field settings (indoor/outdoor)
  • Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
