Location: Midway, KY (Elkwood Farm)
Internship Term: Full-Time, Summer 2025
Compensation: College credit available with university approval
Bluegrass Distillers is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team for Summer 2025. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in the bourbon, events, and hospitality industries, supporting a fast-growing, craft distillery known for its award-winning Kentucky bourbons and unique grain-to-glass experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and on-site support in the planning and execution of special events.
Coordinate logistics including venue bookings, catering, transportation, and supplies.
Assist in developing and distributing marketing materials for upcoming events.
Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to support special projects such as our Single Barrel Program.
Support customer-facing hospitality functions, including public and private tours, concierge service, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
Troubleshoot and respond to challenges during event planning and execution.
Track and report on event outcomes and assist with post-event wrap-up and summary documentation.
Assist with daily customer engagement, especially during high-traffic periods and large group visits.
Perform other duties as assigned in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
A team player with a positive, customer-first attitude.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
Interest in bourbon, Kentucky tourism, and event planning is a plus!
