Research Assistant
Research Assistant position for Dr. Kathryn Dalton in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health/College of Public Health-
The temporary hourly research assistant position will have the following duties:
-process and manage human and environmental samples from various research studies, which includes laboratory experiments (DNA extraction)
-ship and store samples
-order supplies
-maintain safety protocols
-general duties to assist/manage the lab
If qualified, the research assistant can be involved with data analysis, writing manuscripts, and training students.
$23.55/hour pay level, plus temporary employee health insurance
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Some laboratory or other research experience
-Ability to work independently and take direction
-Demonstrated strong organizational skills
Desirable Qualification: Master’s degree
