District Lottery Supervisor

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a District Lottery Supervisor, you will perform a full range of supervisory duties over a staff of District Lottery Representatives (DLR) in support of promoting Lottery sales and ticket distribution. This includes being responsible for the day-to-day assignments for DLRs.  You will have the opportunity to speak with the public about Lottery programs and conduct follow up training with staff as needed.  Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

Re-inspecting retailer locations and providing guidance for retailer recruitment and retention, as well as monitoring performance.

Completing regular visits to retailers to ensure they are equipped with current promotional and point of sale (POS) material.

Gathering information from DLRs and retailers to prepare detailed reports.

Monitoring DLR retailer histories to ensure DLRs are performing and electronically recording quality.

Reviewing procedures of route sales reps through ride alongs and routinely conducting review of paperwork and scratch ticket inventory to ensure accuracy.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.  Work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week, at least once per month, in order to maintain operational efficiency and maximize service to the Lottery and the public.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six years of progressively responsible experience in sales or marketing; or
Two years of experience as a District Lottery Representative (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Any equivalent experience and training.


Special Requirements:

This position requires possession of a valid motor vehicle operator license.


Additional Requirements:

You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
