MS-HS Spanish Teacher
Overview:
The CinDay Academy is seeking a dynamic and fluent Spanish Teacher to provide part-time instruction to students in grades 6 through high school. This role includes teaching middle and high school Spanish courses, with the potential to offer instruction through Spanish 3, Spanish 4, and an honors option. The teacher will help students strengthen their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish while developing global awareness and cultural appreciation.
Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Duties:
- Teach Spanish to students in grades 6 through high school during scheduled daily hours (10:00 AM – 1:30 PM).
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Ohio content standards and The CinDay Academy’s goals.
- Teach various levels, from introductory to advanced Spanish, including Spanish 3, 4, and an honors-level option.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic levels and learning styles of middle and high school students.

Curriculum and Assessment:
- Design and adapt curriculum that supports both skill development and cultural competency.
- Integrate authentic materials, technology, and real-world applications into lessons.
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, assessments, and performance tasks.
- Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student performance.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with staff to support cross-curricular projects and learning initiatives.
- Communicate with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in planning meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.

Cultural Enrichment:
- Integrate Hispanic cultures, traditions, and history into lessons to foster global awareness.
- Support school events that celebrate world languages and cultural diversity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field. (preferred)
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience with middle and/or high school students.
- Ability to teach Spanish up to level 4 and/or honors level courses.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Project-Based Learning (PBL) and modern instructional strategies is a plus.
