Part-Time Spanish Teacher
Overview:
The CinDay Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and engaging part-time Spanish Teacher to join our team of educators. This position is responsible for introducing and developing foundational Spanish language skills in students from PreK through 5th grade. The ideal candidate will create a joyful and effective learning environment that builds cultural awareness and fosters a love for language learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Spanish lessons for students in PreK through 5th grade.
- Focus on developing basic listening, speaking, and introductory reading and writing skills.
- Utilize songs, games, stories, and hands-on activities to make language learning fun and meaningful.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and developmental levels.

Curriculum Development:
- Align lessons with Ohio content standards and The CinDay Academy’s curriculum goals.
- Incorporate cultural elements into lessons to promote global understanding.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language learning into broader themes or projects when appropriate.

Student Support:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports student participation and risk-taking in language learning.
- Assess student progress informally and provide regular feedback to students and families.
- Communicate with parents about classroom activities and student growth as needed.

School Community Involvement:
- Participate in school events and celebrations, especially those related to world cultures or languages.
- Support students in sharing what they’ve learned with the school community (e.g., performances, displays, classroom visits).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (preferred, not required)
- Proficiency in Spanish with excellent communication skills.
- Experience teaching young children in a school setting.
- Understanding of child development and effective early language acquisition strategies.
- Creative, flexible, and enthusiastic about working with young learners.
