North America Supply Chain Planning Intern

Position Summary

 

This position is an excellent opportunity for a data driven individual to get hands on experience in supply chain. Based in the FMC Center City Philadelphia headquarters, the North America Supply Chain Planning Intern will work alongside many supply chain functions gathering data, improving tools and building processes to enhance the team’s end-to-end efficiencies.  This role will also take on planning responsibilities for a portion of the North America portfolio.

 

The Role

 

  • Develop tools and processes that can be generated regularly to review new slices of data and drive better metrics (Weekly Supply Shortage root cause, IBP (Integrated Business Planning) production, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, open orders past due)
  • Master data analysis for plants, tollers and warehouses
  • Review and troubleshoot IBP planned production events
  • Analysis of planned materials throughout the network
  • Hands-on master scheduling of a tolling location

 

 

The Candidate

  • Excellent communication skills to create effective interactions with multiple functional groups and levels of the organization, including the ability to present and sell ideas, plans and recommendations through strong personal influence building skills that lead to consensus decisions and plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and task completion dates, strong time management
  • Result driven and self-starter, ability to work independently with strong follow-up, organization and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of employees
  • Detail, deadline and customer service oriented, with the ability to integrate information to accurately understand and apply to an overall procedure and/or process
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to initiate process improvements

 

Required Education:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
