TropaNeur Treasurer

Velatropa24Ventures CO (V24V) is looking for a TropaNeur Treasurer, a whole-systems, creative thought-leader, with a joy for accounting and the ability to co-lead, with our Web3 Motoko Developer, the first two phases of building the TropaCoinRAO fintech prototype and mobile application, hosted on the Internet Computer Blockchain. This individual understands money and how to speak its language, but through the lens of commons-backed currencies, Sacred Economics principles and mind-heart coherence. The TropaNeur Treasurer has a gift for data analysis, reading ledgers, and adding more human-centric, planet-centric, 13-moon logic into a futuristic, novel software system going beyond double-entry accounting, measuring Quintuple-Entry-Accounting (QEA) transactions to achieve a Quintuple-Bottom-Line (QBL).  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with V24V’s Chief Creative Directress and our Motoko Developer, to design and build phase 0 and phase 1 of the TropaCoinRAO Web3 app, enabling users to spend, trade, exchange and manage TropaCoins and be able to vote on V24V Organizational policies via a liquid democracy protocol with matured, TropaCoin tokens. . 
2. Use V24V’s 13-period fiscal calendar to record moonly transactions, post journal entries and close V24V and member-business books.
3. Create quarterly budgets and forecasts for V24V and member-businesses.
4. Monitor V24V and member-business cash flows, communicating patterns of underflows and identifying alternative paths for moonly spend, when there are unexpected overflows.
5. Stay GAAP-compliant and informed on the latest updates and standards from FASB, the Financial Accounting Standards Board.    
6. Stay informed on the latest updates and announcements from the Dfinity Foundation, as it pertains to Web3 protocols and the Internet Computer blockchain. 
7. Complete relevant trainings, research, online courses or tutorials to be well-informed on the Internet Computer Blockchain’s native backend language, Motoko, and its unique features. 
8. Complete relevant trainings, research, online courses or tutorials to be well-informed on Zoho’s native scripting language, Deluge, and its unique features. 
9. Complete relevant readings or research to be well-informed on Sacred Economics principles, commons-backed currencies, negative interest-rates, decaying money, gift networks, local economics and barter systems. 
10. Be a Role Energizer and Lead Link for the V24V Finance Node.
11. Work with Kin in a TropaNeur Tribe to complete group projects and contribute to writing the TropaCoinRAO’s source code. 
12. Complete moonly (periodic) self-assessments to measure job satisfaction, individual mental health, emotional health and group dynamics.  

Required Education & Work Experience:

1. At least 3 years of college experience 
2. Accounting major, Finance major, Economics major or other related technical, IT field 
3. Preferred Education: basic coding skills and knowledge of blockchain systems 
    

Signing Bonus: $260

Project-Based Pay: $52 base + (max of 5 approved and completed projects per moon) 

Estimated Monthly Pay Range: $207-$1,107 USD
