Under the direction of the Administrator I, Supervisor, the incumbent functions as a specialist in the application of the California Prison Industry Authority's (CALPIA) most complex financial reporting requirements and serves as a lead person to the Reports and Reconciliation (RR) staff.
This position offers hybrid telework options, and FREE parking, and is located near Folsom Lake and Historic Downtown Folsom, close to walking trails, shopping and eateries.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Financial accounting work experience with the State/Government
- Training or team lead work experience
- Financial Audit and Year-End experience
- Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Fiscal
- Experience analyzing data and preparing financial reports
- General ledger experience
- Experience in creating State Fiscal Year-End financial statements (Budgetary/Legal Basis & GAAP)
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Experience delivering training content, facilitating meetings or presenting information
- Experience developing and updating desk procedures, ISOs, and various types of learning materials
- Customer service experience
Minimum qualifications: Four years of increasingly responsible professional accounting or auditing experience
Education: Equivalent to graduation from college, with a specialization in accounting; or Completion of the equivalent of 45 semester units given by a collegiate-grade residence or correspondence institution, of which 24 units must include courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate/advanced accounting, fund/governmental accounting, cost accounting, auditing, business law, computer applications/management information systems.
