
Social Media Intern
Position Overview:
Cincinnati Hillel is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Intern to enhance our marketing efforts and social media presence. Working closely with Muhammed/Springboard Fellow with close communication with the Hillel staff, this intern will be responsible for promoting events, engaging with the online community, and increasing the visibility of Hillel’s programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging social media posts using Canva and other design tools to promote Hillel programs.
- Maintain an active and engaging presence on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
- Collaborate with Hillel staff to gather details about upcoming programs and develop effective marketing strategies.
- Manage weekly communication with full-time staff to align marketing efforts with organizational needs.
- Being able to proof graphics, posts before publishing.
- Attend 1-2 Hillel programs per week to capture photos and videos for content creation.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to optimize engagement.
- Post before, during, and after events, as well as relevant external news related to Jewish life and student engagement.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Canva and other design software.
- Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and social media best practices for improving analytics.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with Hillel staff and student leaders.
- Comfortable meeting new people, engaging diverse audiences, and asking students to participate in photos.
- Availability to attend 1-2 Hillel programs per week and flexibility to complete tasks during unusual work hours.
- Bonus: Experience with Squarespace for website management.
Supervision & Reporting:
This position reports to Muhammed, Springboard Fellow and the Hillel Staff.
Time Commitment & Compensation:
- Compensation is $500 per semester, with a time commitment of 5–7 hours per week.
- Once a month internship meeting (times will be decided as a group)
- Supervision meetings with your Supervisor (to be determined how frequently)
