Israel Program Intern

Position Overview:

The Israel Program Intern will play a key role in designing, organizing, and executing Israel-related cultural and educational events on campus. This position is perfect for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about bringing innovative Israel programming to students. The intern will work alongside the Israel Fellow to ensure events are well-planned, engaging, and meaningful. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Event Planning & Execution: Plan and execute high-quality events related to Israel, including cultural celebrations, speaker series, educational workshops, and interactive experiences. 
  • Logistics & Coordination: Manage event logistics such as reserving spaces, ordering food, setting up materials, and ensuring smooth event execution. 
  • Creative Programming: Brainstorm innovative ways to engage students in Israel-related content, making programs fun, interactive, and relevant. 
  • Campus Partnerships: Collaborate with student groups, faculty, and community organizations to expand the reach and impact of Israel-related events. 
  • Weekly Meetings & Project Management: Attend weekly check-ins with the Israel Fellow to discuss progress, review logistics, and assign responsibilities. 

Ideal Candidate Qualifications: 

  • Event Planning Skills: Experience or interest in planning events, from concept to execution. 
  • Creativity & Innovation: Ability to think outside the box to create engaging and meaningful Israel programming. 
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate logistics, and pay attention to details. 
  • Leadership & Initiative: Comfortable taking the lead on projects and working independently. 
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with different groups and adapt to changing needs. 
  • Basic Knowledge of Israel: Understanding of Israeli culture, history, and current events is preferred. 

Supervision & Reporting:

This position reports to the Israel Fellow.

Time Commitment & Compensation:

  • Compensation is $500 per semester, with a time commitment of 5–7 hours per week.
