Employee will be:
- Assigned to the Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR), Coal & Noncoal Permitting Section (Articles 3, 4, 11 & 12).
- Performs managerial-level professional work under administrative direction.
- Supervises a large staff of professional, technical, and administrative personnel.
- Plans, organizes, implements, monitors, and controls staff activities to ensure efficient and economical permit review operations.
- Coordinates permitting unit activities with other divisions, offices, and entities to foster cooperation and establish common goals.
- Requires application of scientific principles and knowledge of federal and state regulations and laws.
- Utilizes program planning techniques related to coal and non-coal permitting (Articles 3, 4, 11 & 12).
- Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

- Regular attendance is an essential part of this position.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every fifteen (15) semester hours of graduate training and/or every thirty (30) semester hours of the undergraduate training.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience related to the specialty area.
