Education Program Assistant - Paid

Organization: Pioneer Academics

Position: Education Program Assistant - Paid Internship.

Location: Jenkintown, PA.

Hours: 24 Hrs per week (Tuesday to Thursday).

Pay Range: $20 per hour

Mission of the Position: We are seeking a passionate and motivated intern to join our team as an Education Program Assistant. This is a paid internship opportunity, ideal for a candidate who is currently in their senior year of college or in graduate school and is interested in pursuing a career in education, particularly with high school students. The position involves significant student-facing interactions and will be responsible for delivering informational presentations and conducting training sessions that will empower and engage students in various educational topics. This internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in education and the possibility to transition into a full-time role upon successful completion. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team, develop key communication and presentation skills, and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning experiences.


Key Criteria & Responsibilities:

Program Development & Delivery

  • Assist in the development and facilitation of Pioneer research mentorship presentations, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Provide guidance on academic pathways, career development, and personal growth.

Student Engagement

  • Offer direct support to students through one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with the Scholar Success team to design and implement strategies that enhance student engagement and success.

Administrative Support

  • Support logistical aspects of programs, including scheduling and follow-up communication.
  • Collect and analyze student feedback to improve future sessions.
  • Help create educational materials such as presentations, handouts, and digital resources.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or graduate program (preferably in Education, Research, Learning & Development, or related fields).
  • Strong interest in education and supporting high school students.
  • Experience in presenting or facilitating group discussions or training sessions.
  • Enthusiastic about positively impacting students' academic journeys.
  • Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring high school students is a plus.
