Customer Service Representative - Fitness Center Desk

Customer Service Representatives (CSR) report to the URC Fitness Center Director. Their primary duties include:

  • providing comprehensive customer service to the EWU campus community;
  • checking participants into the facility;
  • collecting/filing participant paperwork;
  • includes assisting participants with completing waivers;
  • assisting participants with logging in and out of the Fast Fitness login app;
  • serving as a resource regarding facility policies and Fast Fitness course requirements;
  • includes answering multiple telephone calls;
  • assisting participants with membership issues;
  • enforcing facility policies, to include dress code, extra items, etc.;
  • daily/weekly equipment cleaning tasks;

While CPR/AED is not required for this position, it is encouraged. 

CSR's gain clerical experience in customer service, as well as experience in facility maintenance and management, emergency response, and assistance in teaching. Students from every academic area are encouraged to apply. 

Please be advised that in order to be considered for this application, the following are required:

  • Student must be/intend to be a student of EWU for the 25-26 school year;
  • Be registered in at least 10 credits beginning Fall Quarter 2025;
  • Submit a professional cover letter specifying your interest in working at the facility, taking care to detail what qualifications and qualities you possess which make you a competitive candidate;
  • Submit a professional resume, detailing past work experience, relevant certifications (if any), and at least 3 references.

All new employees must comply with EWU immunization Policy 602-02 and provide proof of immunity or vaccination to MMR and proof they are fully vaccinated before beginning work at EWU. Waivers for the immunization requirements are available for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs. 

This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
