## POSITION OVERVIEW
Oklahoma Wildcats Academy (OWA) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Graduate Assistant to join Coach Candis Cook's women's basketball program. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for candidates pursuing advanced degrees while gaining valuable experience in collegiate basketball coaching, player development, and program management.

## ABOUT OWA BASKETBALL
Under the leadership of Head Coach Candis Cook, OWA women's basketball is building a program centered on developing strong, intelligent, and hard-working student-athletes. Our philosophy emphasizes both athletic excellence and personal growth, preparing players for success on and off the court.

## RESPONSIBILITIES
- **Coaching Support**: Assist with practice planning, implementation, and in-game coaching
- **Player Development**: Help coordinate individual skill sessions and strength/conditioning programs
- **Video Analysis**: Break down game film, create scouting reports, and manage video database
- **Recruiting**: Support recruitment efforts through database management, campus visits, and communication with prospective student-athletes
- **Administrative Tasks**: Assist with travel arrangements, equipment management, and program logistics
- **Camp Management**: Help coordinate and run basketball camps throughout the year
- **Academic Support**: Monitor student-athlete academic progress and assist with study halls
- **Community Engagement**: Represent the program at community events and assist with fundraising initiatives

## QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required; must be enrolled in or accepted to a graduate program
- Basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and player development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as schedule demands
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic and attention to detail
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Computer proficiency, including experience with video analysis software (Synergy, Hudl) preferred
- Valid driver's license

## TERM & COMPENSATION
- **Duration**: Two-year appointment (contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluation after year one)
