Job Title: Front-End Developer / UI Implementation Specialist

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Front-End Development Intern to help bring our designs to life! In this role, you will work closely with designers and developers to turn wireframes and mockups into interactive, responsive user interfaces. If you enjoy problem-solving, have a good eye for detail, and want to gain real-world experience bridging design and development—this internship is for you. This role bridges the gap between design and development, ensuring pixel-perfect, responsive implementation across various platforms and devices.

This is a remote position, so all communication with your team will occur via chat, phone, email, or video conference.  Your manager and fellow developers will be available during a traditional work week (M-F, 9am-5pm Eastern Time).  However, you are welcome to perform your work according to your own schedule, as long as you can be available for occasional planning and synchronization meetings.  You will coordinate your expected schedule and hours per week with your manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to interpret and implement wireframes and visual designs into responsive front-end interfaces.
  • Build clean, maintainable, and scalable code based on design specifications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including product managers, back-end developers, and QA to ensure high-quality implementation.
  • Optimize interfaces for speed, usability, and accessibility.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UI/UX issues and provide creative solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and design trends.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have your own computer / laptop
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and basic integration with back-end services.
  • Attention to detail and ability to match designs with high accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and front-end performance best practices.
  • Basic understanding of UX principles and design systems.
