About the Role
Boston Data Co. is looking for a Business Intelligence Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work directly with clients to help them organize, model, and visualize their data — using tools like SQL, dbt, and Sigma to turn raw data into insights.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 2+ years of experience or strong project-based exposure to business intelligence tools who’s excited about client-facing work and modern data stacks.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Design and build scalable data models using tools like dbt.
- Ingest and transform data from different sources into centralized warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Sigma, Looker, or Tableau.
- Help define performance metrics and improve decision-making through data.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling best practices (e.g., star schema).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Sigma, Looker, Tableau).
- Experience working in or contributing to projects that required data pipeline or dashboard creation.
- Clear communication skills — you’ll often interact with non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with dbt and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Python experience for data workflows or automation.
