Job description
Who We Are: Established in 1934, Foundations Preschool of Washtenaw County has been a pioneer in providing childcare for 90 years. We are dedicated to increasing access to equitable, high-quality care and early education for underserved and historically marginalized families. Our mission is to empower families by offering reliable, year-round childcare that supports their ability to work full-time. To maximize our impact, Foundations provides tuition support, free meals and snacks, assistance with family assistance programs, a supplemental food pantry, in-house translation services, and a dedicated social worker. - Actively participate in weekly 1:1 and Leadership Team meetings to ensure alignment on development goals and strategies.
- Monitor and track key development metrics, adjusting strategies to optimize fundraising outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure development efforts align with programmatic and operational goals.
Marketing and Communications:
- Assist in donor cultivation efforts, including both physical and digital marketing campaigns.
Events:
- Attend and assist in fundraising events as needed, contributing to event planning and execution.
Additional Responsibilities:
- As part of a small nonprofit team, the Development Manager may be asked to take on additional duties as needed to support the organization's goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience in development, fundraising, or nonprofit management or demonstrated interest and motivation to learn quickly in this field.
- Prior experience working with youth service organizations or socioeconomically diverse populations is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Mission-oriented and driven by the desire to fill organizational gaps with well-executed projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
