Immersive Production Crewing Intern

Summary:

COSM is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Crewing Intern in the office. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for someone interested in the operations behind sports broadcasting and technology. The intern will gain hands-on experience with crewing, including sourcing and onboarding crew members, and assisting with travel logistics for the broadcast crew, such as booking flights, hotels, and accommodations for various sports events. A passion for being detail-oriented and entering data that makes an impact and drives change is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

Crewing Support:

  • Learn the processes involved in managing broadcast crews for sports events.
  • Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting the best crew members for each production.
  • Help with the onboarding process for new crew members, ensuring they have the necessary information and resources.
  • Assist with crew scheduling and confirming their availability for upcoming sports events.

Travel Coordination & Logistics:

  • Book travel (flights, hotels, car rentals) for the broadcast crew for on-location events.
  • Assist with all travel logistics from the office, ensuring the crew is accommodated and travel arrangements are made in advance.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to confirm bookings and resolve any travel-related issues.
  • Track travel expenses to ensure they stay within allocated budgets.
  • Create SOPs and One-Sheets” with PPT or Canva. 

Administrative & Organizational Support:

  • Provide support to the Crewing Manager and Coordinator with planning for monthly crewing needs.
  • Assist in maintaining records of crew member availability, travel, and event schedules.
  • Coordinate with various team members to ensure all logistics are arranged for upcoming sports events.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for crew schedules, travel arrangements, and other logistical tasks that directly impact operations.

Requirements:

Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Broadcasting, Sports Media, Film Production, or a related field.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must love being detail-oriented and enjoy entering data that makes an impact and drives change.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Interest in learning about sports broadcasting and crewing processes.
  • Ability to assist with travel and logistics coordination.
  • Canva, Excel, and PPT knowledge a must.

Experience: Previous experience with event coordination, crewing, or travel planning is a plus, but not required. Sports knowledge a definite plus. 

Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 11-4 pm is ideal.

The hourly pay for this position is $16.90/hr.
