Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be skilled in various aspects of veterinary support. This role involves assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
• Handle dogs, cats and pocket pets safely and effectively.
• Perform blood draws and other basic medical procedures under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including examination rooms, surgical areas, and waiting areas.
• Prepare laboratory samples for testing and assist with laboratory tasks as needed.
• Educate pet owners on proper care techniques and home-care instructions.
• Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing patient records.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary practices is beneficial.
• Familiarity with pet care techniques and animal handling skills is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
