Unit Information: This job is for unit 7A, a 21 bed medical / surgical unit sees a variety of medical conditions, treating the adult and geriatric population. Cardiac telemetry monitoring also utilized on this unit. This unit is 70% Cardiac Telemetry patients with the other 30% being complex Medical patients. As a medical cardiac step-down unit, this unit treats cardiac conditions including CHF, post MI, angina, cardiac drug toxicity, post pacemaker insertion, A-fib, dysrhythmias, and patients requiring administration of select continuous infusion of cardiac medications or oral drug therapy for dysrhythmias.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Clinical Technician
OR - Equivalent clinical experience as defined in the CORE skills for Clinical Technician
AND one of the following:
- Completion or current enrollment in a Clinical Technician program
- Student nurse who has successfully completed medical/surgical clinical rotations and related coursework
Certification/Licensure:
- BLS certification is required.
Other Qualifications:
- Minimum of six education hours related to current role.
