Academic Seminar Leader and/or Academic Assignment Tutor
NB - this role is only open to University of York GTAs.
The University of York’s Access and Outreach team is looking to recruit a number of Postgraduate students to support the delivery of the YorJourney programme for post-16 students during the summer of 2025. All Access and Outreach opportunities are designed to support students from backgrounds that are underrepresented in Higher Education to reach their full potential.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to provide crucial support to students as they prepare for transition from A Level/BTEC to studying at Higher Education. We are recruiting Postgraduate students to fill two vacancies, Academic Seminar Leader and Academic Assignment Tutor. Applicants should apply for all roles they wish to be considered for and are required to complete one application form and, if successful, attend one online interview for all roles.
YorJourney is a 2-week online pre-entry programme for students on the Next Step York, Pathways to Medicine, and Black Access outreach programmes.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have supported a YorJourney student through an assignment or led a YorJourney seminar before, you do not need to complete this application form. Please email yor-journey@york.ac.uk to register your interest.
