Facility- Walnut Creek Facility (2150 State Route 39, Sugarcreek, OH 44681)
Reports to- Director of Credit
Pay Rate- Hourly
The Credit Intern will provide support to ProVia’ s credit department. This position will assist various members of the credit department in making collection calls, application management, assisting with credit limits, and other tasks as assigned. Candidate is expected to uphold and represent ProVia’ s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with new customer account set up.
- Make collection and COD calls as necessary.
- Approve orders for production that hit the credit hold system.
- Communicate with Traffic & Customer Service about credit related orders.
- Collaborate with Director of Credit, CFO, and CLT members for credit solutions for major accounts.
- Assist with D & B online programs.
- Assist Account Managers in making initial credit assessments based on available information.
- Assist with the oversight of the terminal services/credit card system for ProVia, insuring adequate services and competitive pricing.
- Assist in other department responsibilities.
- Backup/assistant for check application.
- Application/management of customer co-op.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- The candidate must be a college junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
- Related work experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook applications.
- Ability to work with generally accepted mathematical concepts to solve problems.
