Position Title: Intervention Specialist
Reports To: Director of Program Operations

Pay: $28–$35/hour
Schedule: Approximately 5 weeks | Flexible hours between 9:30 AM – 3 PM
Job Overview
Friendship Circle of Cleveland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful friendships and inclusive experiences for individuals with special needs. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Intervention Specialist to join our Extended School Year (ESY) summer camp team. This individual will be responsible for implementing and overseeing IEP goals in a fun, dynamic, and supportive camp environment. Our programs are rooted in Chabad Judaic values, fostering a culture of kindness, inclusion, and community.
Main Accountabilities
Support campers with special needs by carrying out individualized education plan (IEP) goals.
Collaborate with camp staff and support teams to ensure appropriate accommodations.
Track progress and provide brief reports or updates as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
Facilitate meaningful participation in daily camp activities.
Adapt programming to meet individual needs and learning styles.
Maintain open communication with staff and supervisors.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all campers.
Compensation & Structure
Hourly rate: $28–$35, based on experience
Flexible daytime hours between 9:30 AM – 3 PM
Temporary summer position (approximately 5 weeks during Extended School Year)
Qualifications & Skills
Current Intervention Specialist license required
Experience working with children with special needs
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to a camp setting with varying needs and routines
Work Environment & Schedule
Hands-on, energetic camp environment
Supportive, team-based culture
Flexible hours between 9:30 AM – 3 PM, Monday–Friday
Location: On-site at our summer camp (Cleveland area)
