Position Title: Occupational Health Services, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate)
Overview of Department:
The intern will be tasked primarily with being an operational support. Interns will work with the flu shot program from September to December or aiding with hearing conservation forms and other data entry task minimize backlog within the department. Interns will also contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of our employees and to the efficiency of the OHS clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Help organize and facilitate flu shot, silica and mobile van clinic program initiatives by preparing supplies, managing patient flow, and recording vaccination data.
- Accurately input and update employee health records in Cority.
- Provide hands-on support, assisting with patient intake, ensuring clinic efficiency.
- Schedule appointments
- Organize medical documents
- Reviewing patient documents for errors
- Assist with inventory management
- Assist the medical assessment center nurses
Projects:
- Minimize backlog in employee documentation and charts upkeep.
- Aid in improving employee health initiatives
- Project management skills
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
Required Education:
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA
- Major(s) Preferred: Health Administration, Health Science, Public Health, Nursing, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Social Work or related field preferred.
