Position Overview: The Data Engineer / Analyst will develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Microsoft-based tools, write and automate reports to support business needs, manage databases such as SQL Server, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, and prepare data for AI integration. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights and powering AI-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ETL Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Microsoft tools like SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and Azure Data Factory to ensure efficient and accurate data processing from various sources into the company's data warehouse.
  • Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, including SQL Server, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Report Writing & Automation: Create, maintain, and automate reports to support various business functions, using tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, and other reporting platforms.
  • Data Preparation for AI Integration: Prepare and structure data for use in AI applications and tools, ensuring data is ready for advanced analytics and machine learning models.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth data analysis to support business decision-making, providing insights and recommendations based on findings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business analysts, to understand data requirements and provide technical support as needed.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, database schemas, and reporting standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to ETL processes, reports, and database performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in ETL development, data engineering, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with Microsoft-based ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, and experience preparing data for AI applications is a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure) is a plus.
