Trades & Skills Internship
This 12-week paid internship is designed for a recent high school graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in the skilled trades. The selected intern will work alongside industry professionals at VHC Health, gaining direct experience in key departments. This opportunity offers valuable real-world skills, participation in meaningful projects and exposure to potential career paths within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Education:
- High school diploma or GED required before commencing the internship.
- Current enrollment in an Associate’s Degree program is preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience (such as internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work) is preferred.
Other:
- Strong interest in the healthcare industry and training areas.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude toward problem solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous administrative experience (such as internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work) is preferred

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations.
- Research and data collection.
- Project support.
- Support healthcare administrators in organizing and planning events or meetings.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with various departments on administrative projects.
- Observe the team in managing campus systems.
- Observe and participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
- Participate and assist in the development and implementation of department initiatives and sustainability practices within the facility.
- Assist in compiling reports and data on department operations, and other performance metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Other requests as assigned.
