Pay range: $20.00 per hour

Employment Status: Temporary (May-August 40 Hours Per Week)

About this position:

NorthWestern Energy is seeking a motivated and talented AI Intern to join our team and collaborate with the Human Resources department in developing an innovative employee education program focused on artificial intelligence. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AI applications within a corporate setting, while contributing to the growth and development of our employees' AI knowledge and skills.

About this job:

  • Assist in the design and development of AI-driven educational content and training materials for employees.
  • Collaborate with HR to identify key learning objectives and tailor AI education programs to meet the needs of different departments.
  • Conduct research on the latest AI trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the education program remains current and relevant.
  • Support the implementation and evaluation of AI training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Analyze feedback from participants and make recommendations for improvements to the education program.
  • Assist in the creation of AI-related resources, such as guides, tutorials, and online courses.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing the overall employee education experience.
  • Experience in Learning Management Systems a plus.
  • Previous experience in developing educational content or training programs.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and tools.
  • Establish a sustainable process for keeping training fresh.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong interest in AI and its applications in a corporate environment
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Gain practical experience in AI applications within a corporate setting
