Business Development Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Intern supports Radix Recovery's outreach and marketing initiatives. They assist in developing and maintaining referral relationships, contributing to marketing efforts, and learning foundational aspects of admissions and business growth strategy. This role offers real-world experience in a behavioral health setting, ideal for students pursuing careers in healthcare marketing, sales, or public health.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in identifying and researching potential referral partners and business opportunities.
• Support scheduling of meetings, presentations, and networking events.
• Help maintain and update CRM with contact information and meeting notes.
• Participate in planning and coordination of marketing events and professional outreach activities.
• Assist in managing promotional materials, including swag, advertising tools, and website updates.
• Shadow and support team members in outreach calls, presentations, and internal meetings.
• Learn and comply with HIPAA regulations and company confidentiality policies.
• Contribute to reports on outreach progress, trends, and lead tracking.
• Provide administrative support for admissions including basic data entry and logistics coordination.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support the team’s growth and outreach objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in healthcare, mental health, or substance abuse recovery services.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn CRM tools.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Internship duration: 8–12 weeks.
• Hours: Part-time, 10–20 hours per week (flexible).
• Location: Radix Recovery – 860 17th St. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.
• This is a paid internship. Undergraduate: $17 per hour, Graduate: $22 per hour.
