Position Summary
This internship will provide an opportunity to learn about the Texas Data Management Program and assist in the development of Texas Data Literacy Program content, using communication and design skills to make the information engaging and accessible to a variety of customers. This role performs complex (journey-level) clerical work. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Design and create professional, informative, and engaging PowerPoint slides for the Texas Data Literacy Program, using provided content.
- Design and create professional, informative, and entertaining videos for the Texas Data Literacy Program, using provided content.
- Research best practices in data literacy training, assessment, and resources.
- Assist with analyzing the effectiveness of the Data Literacy Program by tracking program participant progress.
- Assist identifying and addressing any challenges or barriers to Data Literacy Program participation or success.
- Assist with understanding stakeholders data literacy needs and support design a program that meets those needs.
- Collaborate with other staff within the CDO on special projects.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
Education
- A recent graduate, or a student currently enrolled in a college or university, with a major or course work in communication, marketing, graphic design, or related course work.
- Must possess academic performance that is considered in good academic standing by college/university standards.
