Mental Health Therapist

Human Support Services is seeking to add a full-time Counselor to our premier team of mental health professionals to provide mental health treatment in Monroe County, IL.


We are pleased to announce our new increased starting wage $22.23-$28.44 an hour. We are currently offering a sign on bonus of $1,000. Full-time bonus will consist of $500 after 30 days of employment in good standing and an additional $500 after 6 months of employment in good standing.

Job Duties:

  • Assessment of mental health conditions.
  • Treatment plan development.
  • Provide therapeutic services for adults, children, and families.
  • Case Management
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions to address clinical needs.
  • Advocacy, referral and linkage to recommended community resources.
  • Complete required data entry and paperwork in accordance with program and agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to opening requirements, assessments, treatment/recovery plans, progress notes, treatment authorizations and authorization of medical necessity.

*One evening per week required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a Human Services field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.)
  • Minimum of one year relevant job experience in counseling/case management.
  • LCPC or LCSW
  • Experience working with children preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working with the substance use population preferred, but not required.
  • Must be willing to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable for auto coverage.
