Kuster Research & Consulting, located in Atkinson, Illinois is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. KRC is a Veterinary service lab that provides Andrology, Microbiology, Cytogenetics and Consulting services. Our primary focus is analyzing specimens and providing quality assurance data to our clients in the boar stud industry. We credit our success to our talented, productive lab team who are committed to providing quality results and world-class client services.  Our unique laboratory contains state of the art analysis equipment.  We offer competitive pay and benefits.   We strive to maintain our warm and family-friendly environment.  Our exceptional team is versatile and works a flexible schedule. We are looking to fill a full-time position with limited weekend or holiday requirements.  An ideal candidate will have experience in a laboratory setting with a degree in a science related field.  AAS encouraged to apply, BS preferred, MS will be considered. Must have good communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Compensation:  based on education, experience and performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures following established protocols and guidelines.
• Utilize analysis skills to conduct experiments and analyze data accurately.
• Apply laboratory experience to ensure the smooth operation of experiments and tests.
• Conduct research laboratory experiments to contribute to scientific advancements.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, FDA regulations, and other quality control standards.
• Utilize animal physiology knowledge in relevant laboratory tasks.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Utilize math skills for data collection and analysis.
• Collaborate with colleagues in research and development projects.
• Adhere to CGMP standards in industrial laboratory settings.
• Apply microbiology, histology, and molecular biology techniques as required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures.
• Apply scientific research skills to contribute to project success.
• Utilize veterinary terminology in relevant laboratory tasks.

Expected hours:  32-40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
