Job Description
The National Democratic Training Committee (NDTC) is seeking a paid, part-time, Live Training Intern for the Summer and Fall 2025 semesters to assist with our daily operations and goal of empowering Democrats who want to run for office. NDTC runs a comprehensive training program in all 50 states through both virtual and in-person programming. To date, NDTC has trained over 112,000 people and over 2700 candidates in the 2024 election cycle.
NDTC is a fully remote workplace, with staff located in the below states. Interns must live or attend school in one of the below states: DC, GA, IL, NC, NJ, TN, VA. NDTC is not able to offer employment to temporary staff who do not live in one of these states.
This $17.50/hr paid, part-time internship program offers hands-on experience working collaboratively with team members on a variety of projects that support NDTC’s Live Training team, and will report directly to the Community Engagement Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Learner Engagement: Complete regular learner engagement via text messaging, email, and/or phone communication.
- Data Management: Track learner engagement and election research data using the organization’s customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
- Election and Candidate Research: Assist the data team with identifying, tracking, and analyzing election results from our learners.

Internship Details
The spring internship will run from June 2, 2025 - December 19, 2025. Internships with NDTC are paid $17.50 per hour with an expected commitment of at least 16–25 hours a week. We are generally flexible with school schedules, but all interns must work within our Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm CST, and Friday 9am – 2pm CST business hours. Occasionally, the Live Training team needs to work outside of these business hours for election night tracking and/or staffing a live training event.

Ideal Candidates:
- Campaign and/or organizing experience is required.
- Interns must be outgoing, efficient, and well-organized.
- We do not expect interns to come in and know everything, but we do expect an enthusiasm to learn and be a part of our team.
- We are looking for people who can multitask, work well with deadlines, follow the news, and are strongly committed to Democratic ideals.
- Candidates with excellent oral and written communication skills are preferred.
