Location: Aurora, IL | Salary: $59,424 - $83,424 per year + bilingual pay

The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a motivated, compassionate Rehabilitation Counselor Trainee to join our team in Aurora, IL. This is your opportunity to receive comprehensive on-the-job training while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

💼 What You’ll Do: • Receive hands-on training in providing services to individuals with disabilities under various waiver programs (PWD, Brain Injury, AIDS).
• Learn the rules, regulations, and policies of the Home Services Program to help clients remain independent in their homes.
• Interpret and translate information for Spanish-speaking clients, ensuring access to vital services.
• Gain valuable case management experience, including monitoring services and assessing home environments for suitability.

📚 What We’re Looking For: • Requires a Master’s Degree in rehabilitation counseling, social work, sociology, nursing, or a closely related field.
• Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish at a colloquial skill level.
• Passion for helping individuals with disabilities achieve their goals of independence.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
