Digital Marketing Intern

Summary

We’re looking for a curious, driven, and analytical Digital Marketing Intern to join our team for a focused summer project aimed at enhancing the SPI customer journey. This role will support efforts to better understand how our customers interact with SPI’s website, emails, and digital campaigns to find opportunities for improved engagement and conversion. This internship will play a key role in shaping how we understand and serve our customers across digital touchpoints.

What You’ll Work On:

You will lead a strategic project focused on mapping SPI’s customer journey by analyzing website visitor behavior and identifying opportunities to surprise and delight our users as they move through the marketing and sales funnel. Your work will directly influence SPI’s marketing strategy both online and offline by helping uncover actionable insights and developing recommendations based on both internal data and external research.

 

Areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Document SPI’s current digital customer journeys from first interaction through purchase and post-sale experience to identify friction points, drop-offs, and engagement opportunities
  • Analyze website visitor behavior using tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar platforms
  • Map out SPI’s current digital customer journey and identify key drop-off points, engagement gaps, and content opportunities
  • Conduct competitor and industry research to benchmark best-in-class customer experience practices
  • Collaborate with marketing, internal teams, and external partners to validate findings and propose improvements
  • Present a final report with recommendations and journey maps to SPI leadership
     

Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

  • Enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Excellent research and communication skills
  • Strong analytical mindset and experience with digital tools (Google Analytics, Excel, or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Passion for digital strategy, user experience, and customer-centric thinking
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a project from start to finish
  •  Ability to think outside of the box and develop creative solutions
  • High degree of professionalism; inclusive and collaborative work style

**Pay will be determined based on education level. 

  • Junior - $20/hour
  • Senior - $21/hour
