Analytics Intern, Research and Measurement

Reporting to Analytics team leads, the Analytics Intern is an integral part of supporting key clients and internal teams in analytics, research, and insight driven efforts.
Candidates must have both strong analytical and communication skills; activating both the left and right brain is crucial for success on this team. They must be organized and effectively manage their time, with the ability to handle multiple projects and timelines on an ongoing basis. They must possess a genuine curiosity/interest and be a self-starter. The right person for this role must be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in projects, data export, data aggregation, deck development, analysis execution, insight development and presentation to clients
· Gather, aggregate social data for agency clients
· Help develop, program, and execute primary research utilizing consumer research platform
· Support quick turn exploratory analytics requests in social listening, survey development, audience analysis, search, and SERP
· Assist in formulating actionable insights for client businesses from data to ensure integration with overall client strategy
· Participate in internal status meetings, as well as be comfortable joining client-facing meeting if necessary, and sharing reporting/insights
· Collaborate with multiple internal teams (i.e., Creative, Planning, Engagement, and Digital) to guide decision-making and ensure project accuracy
· Manage status reporting and project timelines while ensuring data and reporting accuracy
REQUIREMENTS:
· 0-1 years of experience in analytics
· Some knowledge of earned media measurement and social media landscape, including emerging platforms and best practices is preferred
· Strong knowledge of excel (power-user is preferred)
· Experience extracting data with SQL/Boolean and analyzing data with R/python is preferred
· Must be able to quickly learn proprietary in-house data analysis methodologies
· Some experience using social listening tools (i.e., BrandWatch, Meltwater); audience segmentation (i.e., social media audience segmentation with third party platforms or manually) and dashboarding tools (Google Web Analytics, Tableau, Gephi, etc.) is preferred
· Ability to drive business forward and willing to gather, maintain and report out on data
· Ability to demonstrate critical and analytical thinking
· Passion for, and interest in, social and emerging media
· Strong organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to juggle multiple assignments / clients and cope with stressful situations
· Ability to prioritize and handle high-volume detail work in quality fashion
· Be enthusiastic, flexible, and willing to go beyond assigned duties
· Be a strong team player and able to work autonomously
