The State of Connecticut, CT Paid Leave, is seeking a part-time Seasonal Outreach and Engagement Worker to join our outreach and engagement team. 


 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
 

  • The Seasonal Worker will be responsible for assisting with the CT Paid Leave outreach program from June 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025
  • The position will require a valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to use personal transportation with mileage reimbursement
  • The position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds
  • The position will require the ability to work Independently
  • The position requires strong interpersonal skills to be able to explain complex concepts in an easily understandable manner
  • The seasonal worker will interact effectively with diverse individuals and communities
  • Schedule: Variable week to week
  • Location: The role requires the individual to be onsite at the event(s) location(s), with the flexibility to work remotely at other times

The selected candidate must be at least 18 years old

The selected candidate must have reliable transportation and maintain the necessary insurance coverage

THE ROLE:

  • The selected candidate will represent the CT Paid Leave to the public at community events throughout the state, disseminating literature and information about the CT Paid Leave program to event attendees. Additionally, this person will assist the outreach and engagement team with special projects as directed. This position will require weekend and evening hours.

ABOUT US:

The Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Authority is a quasi-governmental agency formed by statute and signed into law by Governor Ned Lamont in 2019.  Its mission is to provide financial security to Connecticut’s workforce by offering benefits payments when either the employee or their family member takes a leave from work to care for themselves or a family member.
