
Quality Management Intern
E.C. Styberg Engineering in Racine, WI is Hiring a Quality Management Intern for our Quality Department. Since 1927, E.C. Styberg Engineering has been a mainstay company in Racine, Wisconsin as a contract manufacturer of medium to heavy gauge metal components. The company started in a garage with two tool makers and has grown over the years to a 175,000 sq. ft facility with 150 employees. Stybergs’ facility includes a wide range of processes – metalworking equipment, including heavy metal stamping, heat-treating, precision machining, welding, grinding, and deburring with the quality department assuring compliance to all the requirements.
Responsibilities and Projects will include but are not limited to:
- Participating in the development of the AS9100 quality policy manual. This will include document creation as well as reviewing and editing quality policy documents.
- Reviewing feedback from policy owners and modifying existing documents to incorporate feedback and comply with standard formatting.
- Becoming trained as an internal quality auditor and completing critical internal audits.
- Developing and standardizing daily, weekly, and monthly quality metrics at the direction of the Quality Manager.
Requirements:
- Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in their Junior or Senior year with an interest or focus on process improvements within Quality Management Systems.
- Possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Students with strong academic performance
- Must possess strong MS Word and Excel skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation with the ability to work independently or to be team-oriented and able to work across all levels of the organization
- This is an on-site role; the schedule will offer some flexibility but will require a minimum of 20 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week.
- You will be required to spend time in both plant and office environments
