Position Overview
We are seeking a Videographer & Editor to join our mission-driven team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about content creation and cinematic storytelling, eager to bring meaningful narratives to life while honing their skills in videography and editing. You will play a vital role in capturing, producing, and editing content that aligns with BCHIRA’s vision of leaving a positive impact on the world.

While BCHIRA is currently a small team led by its founder, this position offers the opportunity to grow alongside the company. As we achieve milestones of consistent monetization from the content you help create, this role will transition into a paid position, reflecting your value and contributions to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the founder to conceptualize and execute video projects.
  • Film and capture high-quality 4K footage for various formats, including video podcasts, social media content, docuseries, and live events.
  • Record audio using professional-grade microphones(minimum of two required for productions).
  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, compelling content aligned with BCHIRA’s brand voice.
  • Ensure consistency in visual storytelling, color grading, and audio quality.
  • Assist in brainstorming creative concepts and storyboards for upcoming projects.
  • Organize and manage video files, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.

Qualifications

  • Passion for storytelling and cinematic visual capture.
  • Access to personal equipment capable of shooting in 4K resolution and at least two professional-grade microphones.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of filming techniques, including framing, lighting, and sound.
  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or local setting.
  • A portfolio showcasing your videography and editing skills is highly encouraged.

  • The role is hybrid but candidates in Southeast Michigan are preferred for on-site filming.
