Location: Hybrid- Colorado Springs, and South Florida

About One World Quest:  One World Quest is a nonprofit service-learning internship program that connects students with meaningful opportunities to support causes like education, sustainability, and community development. Through hands-on projects and creative outreach, participants gain real-world experience while building valuable skills and global awareness.

Position Summary: One World Quest is seeking a diligent and driven college student to join our team as a Grant Writing Intern or Volunteer. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, where you will assist with identifying grant prospects, drafting compelling proposals, and preparing detailed reports. The intern will play a key role in supporting the grant acquisition process, ensuring that submissions meet the specific requirements of potential funders. You will collaborate with our team to synchronize grant efforts with the broader fundraising strategy, helping to secure critical funding for our mission-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization’s goals and programs.
  • Assist in writing, editing, and organizing grant proposals, applications, and follow-up reports.
  • Gather relevant data and supporting materials to enhance the quality of proposals.
  • Maintain an organized system for tracking deadlines, grant submissions, and communications with funders.
  • Work alongside the team to ensure that funding strategies are aligned with the organization’s mission and priorities.

Qualifications: 

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging content.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Passion for nonprofit work, community engagement, and social impact.
  • Previous experience in grant writing or fundraising is beneficial, but not required.
