Wingo helps nonprofits of all sizes expand, connect with, and activate their donors. We are a fifteen-person team of hands-on consultants offering expertise in major donor fundraising, digital marketing, storytelling, communications, graphic design, and special events. Our team and the stories we tell are driven by people who advocate for social, cultural, and environmental change in NYC, nationwide, and across the globe.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and creative Design Intern to support our digital and graphic design teams. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about design, nonprofits, marketing, and visual storytelling. You will assist in creating digital and print assets for our nonprofit clients, supporting the design staff with both their digital needs and print designs. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while building a strong portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing digital assets, including email graphics, social media content, website elements, and marketing collateral.
- Support print design projects such as event materials, brochures, and fundraising appeals.
- Edit and create video assets optimized for social media.
- Work collaboratively with the Digital Marketing Associate on website updates and campaign landing pages.
- Contribute to Wingo NYC’s social media content and email marketing.
- Participate in client meetings.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or similar design tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines.
- Interest in both digital/social media design as well as print design, with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Passion for social justice, nonprofit work, and advocacy.
- Awareness of emerging digital trends and visual culture.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and website platforms (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace) is a plus.
- Experience with video editing is a bonus.

Hours and Compensation
- Part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20 per hour
- Hybrid work environment with in-office days at our New York City office Tuesday - Thursday.
- Potential for future full-time opportunities based on performance.
- Start and end dates of the intership are flexible.
