This entry-level position offers the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team that utilizes tax automation and technology to provide strategic support to the transaction tax practice. The role focuses on identifying and developing innovative tax savings opportunities in key areas. Additionally, this position offers the flexibility to work remotely.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver impactful solutions across the Tax Practice, balancing diverse needs and timelines.

 

  • Identify technology requirements, pinpointing opportunities for process enhancements, automation, efficiency gains, and best practice applications.

 

  • Chart out both short-term and long-term strategies for process betterment through autonomous data processing solutions.

 

Experience and Skills

 

Required:

  • Technological Proficiency: Expertise in data automation & analytics, process improvement, and software exploration/experimentation.

 

  • Terminology: Understanding of both Tax and IT terminology.

 

  • Independence: Self-motivated attitude with the capability for solo work.

 

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills.

 

  • Computer Proficiency:

 

  • Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access.

 

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI.

 

  • Adaptability to various software tools, with an eagerness to learn and implement new technologies.

 

Preferred (Not Required):

 

  • Alteryx Designer Experience (Advanced/Expert Certifications are a plus).

 

  • Familiarity with OCR Text Recognition technologies and applications.

 

  • Experience with Automated Bot Development and Maintenance.

 

  • Proficiency in ERP software.

 

Education:

 

Required: Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science, Management Information Systems

 

Preferred: Minor in Accounting or Finance

 

Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license required. 

 

Work Environment & Conditions:

 

  • Remote Work: This position offers the flexibility to work from home.

 

  • Office Setting: When on-site, expect a standard indoor working environment.

 

  • Physical Requirements: While performing duties, there may be occasional extended periods of sitting during computer usage.

 

  • Communication: The role involves regular interactions with employees at all levels of the firm, both in-person and through electronic communication channels.

 

  • Travel: Occasionally, independent travel may be required, accounting for up to 15% of the time.
